You need a Core GRC account that belongs to at least one organization.

Claude on the web, Desktop, or mobile

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and add Core GRC from the directory. To add it by URL instead, choose Add custom connector and enter https://mcp.core-grc.com/mcpHttp.
  2. Choose Connect. A Core GRC page opens.
  3. Sign in if you're asked to, then under Choose an organization to continue pick the organization Claude should work in. Only organizations you've already signed in to in that browser are shown.
  4. Check the organization, the app, and where it redirects, then choose Allow access.

Claude can work in one organization per connection. To switch organization, disconnect and connect again.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http core-grc https://mcp.core-grc.com/mcpHttp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in. Claude Code uses a sign-in link on your own computer (localhost or 127.0.0.1), so only choose Allow access if you started the sign-in yourself.

Cursor

Add Core GRC to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or to .cursor/mcp.json in a project:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "core-grc": {
      "url": "https://mcp.core-grc.com/mcpHttp"
    }
  }
}

Open Cursor Settings → MCP, choose Connect next to Core GRC, and sign in with the same steps as above.

Other MCP clients

Sign-in only returns to the clients above and the Core GRC CLI. Other MCP clients, including ChatGPT, can't connect yet. To use Core GRC from your own code, use the API.

Core GRC CLI

To use the same tools from your terminal, install the CLI and sign in. The sign-in steps are the same as above.

npm install -g coregrc
coregrc login

See CLI for everything else.

Check the connection

Ask Claude "Which Core GRC organization am I connected to?" Claude calls coregrc_whoami, which returns your organization, your role, the modules it has active, and whether you can view or manage each one.

Disconnect

Remove the connector in Claude. If your membership of the organization ends, or the organization starts requiring two-factor sign-in and you haven't set it up, the connection stops working and you need to connect again.
